Sayari, the leading provider of risk intelligence and visibility into complex commercial networks, today announces that Adrian Searle, a distinguished and internationally respected leader in law enforcement and economic crime, has joined the company as its newest advisor.
Adrian comes to Sayari with extensive experience combating economic crime, leading cybersecurity and risk management strategies across government and the private sector. He was formerly the Director of the National Economic Crime Centre (NECC) and the UK Financial Intelligence Unit (UKFIU), where he was responsible for leading the UK’s operational response to fraud and wider economic crime. During Searle’s time at the helm of a multi-agency unit housed in the National Crime Agency (NCA), he initiated the launch of a new world-leading data fusion initiative with seven UK banks and the coordination of the NCA’s largest ever operation against global illicit finance.
“I have spent my entire career transforming intelligence into action and putting it in the hands of decision-makers to reduce harm and make a real difference in the world we live in,” said Searle. “Sayari’s unparalleled ability to map complex commercial relationships is a game-changer for investigators and policy-makers globally. I look forward to advising the team on how we can continue to empower law enforcement to stay ahead of the escalating threats posed by economic and organized crime.”
In leading the NECC, Searle drew on extensive and varied prior experience, including serving as the Head of Incident Management in the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), where he led the cross-UK response to nationally significant cyber incidents. He also previously served as the Head of Security and Data Risk for NatWest Bank, following many years in defense and security-related operational and policy roles.
“We are honored to welcome Adrian to Sayari,” said Benjamin Power, Sayari COO and Co-Founder. “His expertise in financial crime, law enforcement, and tackling globally organized crime aligns perfectly with Sayari’s mission to provide the foundational data and tools necessary to combat global illicit finance. His guidance will be crucial as we continue to support organizations worldwide, including the governments and Fortune 1000 companies that rely on our platform.”
Adrian Searle’s appointment to the Advisory Board underscores Sayari’s commitment to providing data-driven solutions, built on our highly differentiated foundational data layer, that empower investigators across the globe to effectively target, understand, and dismantle the world’s most sophisticated illicit networks.
