Sayari Innovations-in-Review 2024: A Year of Product Growth

4 minute read

As 2024 comes to a close, we’re proud to reflect on a year shaped by insights, innovations, and successes. Together, we’ve redefined what’s possible in global compliance and investigations. This was a landmark year for Sayari, bookended by the launch of two transformative products, Sayari Map and Sayari Signal, that set new standards in risk visibility and compliance.

Sayari Graph: Illuminating Connections, Empowering Investigations

Since its inception, our flagship product Sayari Graph has led the way in tackling global investigative and compliance challenges. With unparalleled data coverage and intuitive tools, it enables organizations to uncover hidden risks, trace complex networks, and confidently ensure global compliance.

In 2024, we continued to redefine the standard for transforming complex data into actionable insights and grew Graph into an even more dynamic and intuitive platform, shaped by your feedback and the evolving needs of investigative and compliance professionals.

Here are some of the highlights from 2024:

Identifying Entities Majority-Owned by Sanctioned Parties

Complex ownership complexity shouldn’t be a barrier to compliance. This year, we launched new Risk Factors that go beyond lists to uncover entities majority-owned by sanctioned individuals or organizations across OFAC, UK, and EU sanctions lists. By analyzing ownership relationships up to four levels deep, we flagged over 16,000 high-risk entities.

Data completeness is a challenge we tackle head-on, ensuring you have the insights to uncover risks that might otherwise stay hidden. Biweekly updates ensure these insights are always fresh, empowering teams to act with confidence and accuracy.

Customizing Investigations Made Easy With Graph Canvas

In 2024, we introduced new data curation and styling features to the Graph Canvas, enabling users to create custom entities and relationships beyond the Sayari ontology and refine visuals for existing elements. These enhancements deliver unmatched flexibility and clarity, allowing teams to adapt analyses to their unique investigative needs.

Export Controls: Tracking the Seemingly Untrackable

Sanctions are evolving, and so are evasion tactics. With our tools for identifying risks tied to the Common High Priority Items List (CHPL), we trace the movement of restricted goods like never before.

  • Three hops deep: Follow the trail from exporters to intermediaries and beyond.
  • Custom filters: Pinpoint entities tied to restricted technologies based on HS codes.

These updates simplify the process of identifying non-compliance in sprawling trade networks.

Due Diligence: Customization for Simplified Reporting

We’ve enhanced the L1 Due Diligence Report to offer greater customization and clarity. Users can now personalize report names, choose to include or exclude their username, and select specific sections to tailor the content to their needs. These updates provide more control over report generation, ensuring relevance and precision in due diligence processes.

Sayari Map: Illuminating Supply Chains

In April, we introduced Sayari Map, our revolutionary solution designed to enhance visibility into complex global supply chains. By transforming billions of trade relationships into dynamic maps, Sayari Map empowers teams to efficiently and effectively identify, manage, and monitor ongoing supply chain risk, resulting in more transparent, compliant, and resilient supply chains.

Get Instant Visibility with Automated Upstream Risk Screening

Sayari’s Map instantly uncovers risks deep within the supply chain. By tapping into our extensive, networked corporate and trade data, we ensure that no risk stays hidden, giving teams the visibility they need to navigate complex supply chains and avoid compliance and operational risk

Reduce Noise to Prioritize What Matters with Product Blueprint Validation
There is no more need for time-consuming, costly, and unscalable manual validation. Product Blueprint validation automates incoming and outgoing shipment pairs at scale, narrowing the aperture of Sayari’s extensive trade graph to reflect real-world supply chains.

Understand Intricate Supply Networks
Interactive Supplier Network Exploration allows for quick and easy inspection of supply chains and validation of the underlying historical shipment data. Interactive network visualizations allow users to get a birds-eye view of risk, or drill down as needed.

Get Insights Quickly with Network Analytics
Get immediate access to critical analytics that are automatically populated into an intuitive interactive dashboard, providing answers for first-order supplier network questions.

Comprehensive Data Sharing with Supply Chain Exports
Sayari Map now supports detailed .xls exports of supply chain visualizations, including supplier details, shipment dates, and risk factors. This feature simplifies the sharing of insights and enhances collaboration between stakeholders.

Customizing Risk to Your Needs with Risk Configuration
Organizations can now recategorize risk factors with user-created categories to better align with their priorities and thematic understanding of risk. These custom categories are applied globally across the application, delivering tailored insights for more effective risk management.

Granular Control Over Supplier Data with Enhanced Supplier Data Management
Users can now upload custom attributes—like Supplier IDs or internal typologies—through the Single Supplier Upload workflow. These attributes can be managed directly in the Suppliers Table, with options to hide or display columns for tailored data organization.

Together, these features empower organizations to uncover hidden threats, mitigate risks, and uphold global compliance and human rights standards.

Sayari Signal: Comprehensive Risk Data Beyond Regulatory Lists

In November, we launched Sayari Signal, a groundbreaking trade compliance risk data solution that seamlessly integrates with customer ERP systems. Signal empowers organizations to identify complex, non-list-based risks by providing unparalleled coverage of critical risk domains, including military end-users, sanctions, transshipment, and forced labor.

This comprehensive approach enables businesses to balance compliance with operational efficiency, ensuring adherence to evolving regulations while maintaining smooth business operations.
