There he covered corruption and financial crime throughout Eurasia. Prior to that he worked with Internews’ Strengthening Independent Media Project, also in Sarajevo. Benevento specializes in OSINT – with a particular focus on aircraft and vessel tracking – and has extensive experience identifying evidence of financial crime and corrupt practices. At present, Benevento works as a freelance investigative researcher and consultant splitting his time between United States and the Balkans. He speaks Russian and Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian.
