Sanctions Risk from Russian CBW Institute
In response to the Russian use of a chemical weapon, the U.S. Department of State added six research institutes implicated in the development and/or manufacturing of chemical or biological weapons to the CAATSA Section 231 List of Specified Persons.
Sayari’s investigation into these institutes has identified private entities registered to the access-controlled campus of one of these institutes: the State Scientific Research Institute of Organic Chemistry and Technology (aka GoSNIIOKhT).
These companies could pose an increased risk of diversion to Russia’s CBW program and risk to your institution. To simplify the due diligence process, above is a screening data file with the names and identifying information for the private entities co-located with GoSNIIOKhT.
