Forced labor continues to threaten the supply chains of companies that rely on Chinese manufacturing. The Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (UFLPA) – which went into effect in June – represents the latest and most comprehensive action taken by the U.S. government to date to address the issue of forced labor in China. The law’s intent is clear – to address the issue of forced labor, industry needs to have better insight into their supply chains.
